Parbuckle Salvage

Heavy crane picks are no stranger to our construction and diving personnel. Using the Parbuckle method, this vessel was flipped upright in a controlled manner.

SAR and Emergency Response

Accidents can happen. Personnel and equipment can be lost. Our divers are trained to respond to these situations. Whether its lost personnel, or equipment that fell overboard, we have experience and training in recovering your lost assets. On this project a crewmember was lost when the vessel fell over. We were tasked with doing the internal search of all compartments to search for a survivor or remains.

Salvage

Before any salvage operations begin, we ensure that the scene is safe to proceed. If it isn't, we can stand by, or assist in making the scene safe to begin any operations.

Salavge of the DLB Hanson

Safety is always our top priority. With safety and good communication, any task can be completed rapidly. Using hydraulic power packs, one of the legs was removed. Bad weather had us return to the dock and standby, while we left a tugboat on station to monitor the situation and warn any approaching ship traffic.

Hanson Salvage

Once the weather calmed, we returned to the site. The rough weather had caused further damage to the vessel by ripping off the remaining leg. The vessel rolled over. Salvage operations can change quickly. To adapt to this new situation, we dove down to remove and structure that would impede our tow back into the dock with the stricken vessel. Using underwater burning, we burned off the crane booms, and cabs, as well as some of the superstructure of the living quarters.
